Thanks for taking the time to review my work.

TONE OF VOICE
A tone-of-voice system for Samsung Backstage, the learning platform for frontline sales staff. It has been used consistently for over 6 years.
What I did
I defined the editorial principles for Samsung Backstage and translated them into practical guidance writers could actually use.
I defined clear boundaries between the tone we wanted and the versions that went too far or fell short.
Why it works
It turns subjective qualities like “witty” and “colloquial” into usable editorial rules. This shows writers not just what the voice should sound like, but where to draw the line. The Undercooked/Overcooked/Just right examples make that boundary tangible.

INFORMATION HIERARCHY
The opening paragraph of Outpost’s Sales Tax for SaaS Companies article, reworked to put the central problem and eventual solution first.
Original
My version
What I changed and why
I moved the article’s central problem to the front. The original opening builds a hypothetical scenario before explaining the risk. My edited version establishes the US context, the consequence and the mechanism immediately. I also surfaced the article’s eventual solution — transferring the liability — so readers know from the outset what they can do about it.

COPY + INFORMATION DESIGN
A B2B email where the copy and layout were designed together for fast, easy scanning.
My part
I wrote all the copy and proposed the information hierarchy, including where to use bullets and bolding. I worked with the designer on imagery, CTA treatment and layout. I pushed for an all-white background to keep the information easy to scan.
